The award winning Guy Salamon group presents a highly energetic and eclectic new program of all original composition written by leader and drummer Guy Salamon. With musical influences from Charles Mingus, Reinier Baas, Balkan gypsy, modern film music, Frank Zappa and many others, this group's music is here to express love and happiness while still attempting to portray the many contrasts and conflicts of modern society. After a season of festivals and concerts this passed summer of 2018, the band is now in the making of their debut album “Talk to Strangers”, focusing on their own sound, merging happy and energetic rhythms with melancholic yet whacky melodies, mixing laughter with noise, chaos with silence. The songs are often written about social matters such as gender inequality, addictions, social alienation... and yet sometimes about nothing at all. The Guy Salamon group consists of band members from Israel, Catalonia, Denmark, The Netherlands, South Korea, Scotland, Portugal and Mexico.
